ABOUT HALUNK
HALUNK, A Copenhagen-based fashion atelier rooted in streetwear, art, and culture. Behind the shutters is the creative vision and Danish designer Kristoffer Simonsen.
We move in the space between the gallery and the street — between the one-of-one piece and the daily uniform. Our mission is to dissolve the line between exclusivity and accessibility, between fashion and art, between “them” and “us.”
The name Halunk is an old, nearly forgotten word in Denmark meaning scoundrel — a nod to those who defy order and move against the grain. That rebellious spirit runs through everything we create: from one-of-one runway pieces built like artifacts to accessible streetwear made for everyday life. Each design challenges the hierarchy of fashion, treating exclusivity and accessibility with equal weight.
We reject hierarchy. Every person, every garment, every story carries equal value.
Born from the industrial heart of Aalborg, the city of white concrete, HALUNK transforms raw, utilitarian aesthetics into expressive, culture-driven fashion. What began among abandoned factories and construction sites has evolved into a Copenhagen-based atelier, where every garment carries the energy of rebuilding and reimagining.
Simonsen’s work draws inspiration from industrial materials, community culture, and the beauty found in imperfection. HALUNK is a constant work in progress — a construction site with the urge to build from creativity and collaboration. Every collection becomes a story of transformation, built from the remnants of what came before.
Rooted in art and driven by the urge to progress in new ways.
HALUNK — Always Under Construction.
